Don Nelms
Robert "Don" Nelms was born on January 29th, 1946 in Paris Texas.  He attended East Texas State University and obtained bachelor's degrees in math and history.  After working for General Motors for three years, Don, along with his wife and two boys, moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Don dedicated his career to the automotive business,  emulating Dick and Vic Scholfield. Don has served on several boards and committees throughout his days including the Northwest Regional Airport Commisson, and the Arkansas Industrial Development Commission. He also served as a legislative liaison to Governor Tucker, and Governor Beebe, and as a co-chair to Beebes transition team.  Don spent 5 years as the Chairman of Arkansas Audubon, and currently serves on the board of the Arkansas Nature Conservancy, the Buffalo River Foundation, and the Arkansas Forestry Commission.

Don co-owns Adventure Subaru in Fayetteville with his son, Dennis.  After 32 years as an automobile dealer, Don sold the Nelms Auto Park and pursued photography.

Over the last decade Don has taken hundreds of thousands of photographs and handpicks the best images to print, display, and sell at the Nelms Gallery.
